Facial Scrub – Dark Clay Mask and Cleanser

Suitable for all skin types but especially oily and acne prone.

Handmade using natural cosmetic Fuller's Earth clay, fine brown organic sugar, organic milk powder, organic spirulina, organic activated coconut shell charcoal with frankincense pure essential oil.

Fullers Earth is an off white clay, popular for oily and congested skin. Very drying and oil absorbing. Rich in minerals like magnesium, calcium and quartz. It is a particularly effective cleanser which can help improve your complexion and keep your skin feeling fresh and invigorated. Sugar exfoliates the skin but does not dry it out, like salt can. It contains glycolic acids which means it exfoliates on a chemical level as well as by abrasion. Full cream milk powder is high in skin softening fats and a wonderful skin cleanser. Organic spirulina has some amazing benefits for your skin too. Because it's so packed with vitamins and antioxidants, spirulina does a great job at fighting those free radicals that can make our skin look tired, dull and older than we really are. It has amazing detoxifying properties too, which makes it really great for brightening dark circles and other signs of ageing as well as soothing inflammation and skin irritations. Activated coconut shell charcoal is a highly porous, negatively charged powder that attracts and adsorbs positively charged toxins such as heavy metals. Frankincense essential oil helps to rejuvenate tired sagging skin and accelerate the healing of small blemishes i.e. sunspots and age spots. It has the ability to tighten skin and improve skin tone and elasticity as someone ages. Suitable for acneic, environmentally damaged or mature skin. Has a sweet, heavy fragrance.

Place a small amount of powder into a small bowl, add a little warm water until you have a spreadable paste. Softly cleanse your face using small circular motions then rinse with warm water and pat dry.  As a face mask proceed as above but leave this paste on your face for up to 10 minutes, or until your skin starts to feel tight or itchy.  For added benefit you may add some pure honey to the paste too.  Honey is full to natural antioxidants and antimicrobial properties which help protect, repair and prevent skin damage. It increases circulation and helps your skin absorb and retain moisture which keeps it from drying out.

Use once a week. Be mindful when you open the tin, the container is very full :)

Keep dry with lid tightly closed and use within 12 months.
