Facial Scrub – White Clay Mask and Cleanser

Suitable for all skin types, especially sensitive.

Handmade using pure white Australian clay, organic fine brown sugar, organic milk powder, cosmetic seaweed powder with lavender pure essential oil.

White clay is ideal for sensitive or irritated skin. Calming, cooling and softens the skin. Sugar exfoliates the skin but does not dry it like salt may. Contains glycolic acids which means it exfoliates on a chemical level as well as by abrasion. Full cream cow's milk is high in skin softening fats. A skin cleanser for normal, dry and sensitive skin. Contains proteins whey and casein, amino acids, lactic acid, and vitamins A, D and E. These nutrients calm dry, itchy, upset skin and are also exfoliating and cleansing. Seaweed Powder may help to improve the appearance of the surface skin. Rich in bioactive compounds, omega-3 fatty acids, essential amino acids, and vitamins A, B, C, and E. It is calming and moisturising to the skin and has been shown to have anti-inflammatory benefits, improves skin tone & blotchy skin colour, is re-mineralising & nourishing and may help to remove surface impurities from the skin.  Hydrating and nourishing with the ability to penetrate deep into the skin, improving skin tone & blotchy skin colour. Lavender essential oil is suitable for all skin types especially sensitive skin. Probably the number 1 essential oil that helps skin heal.  It helps regenerate skin cells and so is great for mature skin, sun spots and scarring. It has a soft floral herbal scent.

Place a small amount of powder into a small bowl, add a little warm water until you have a spreadable paste. Softly cleanse your face using small circular motions then rinse with warm water and pat dry.  As a face mask proceed as above but leave on your face for up to 10 minutes, or until your skin starts to feel tight.  For added benefit I like to add some pure honey to this paste too.  Honey is full of natural antioxidants and antimicrobial properties which help protect, repair and prevent skin damage. It increases circulation and helps your skin absorb and retain moisture which keeps it from drying out.

Use as often as you think is necessary.  

Keep dry with lid tightly closed and use within 12 months. Be mindful when you open the tin, the container is very full :)
